This Privacy Policy describes how Bar 9 AI, LLC (“Bar 9 AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our ad research application (the “App”) that integrates with Meta Platforms, Inc. services, including the Facebook Ad Library and related Meta APIs.
The App is an internal business tool used to conduct competitive advertising research on behalf of Bar 9 AI and its clients. It is not a consumer-facing product, and it is not intended for use by the general public.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Who This Policy Applies To
This Privacy Policy applies to authorized users of the App, which includes employees, contractors, and agents of Bar 9 AI and its authorized clients. It also describes how we handle any data returned by Meta's APIs in the course of operating the App.
Information We Collect
Information From Authorized Users
When an authorized user accesses the App, we may collect:
- Account identifiers provided through authentication (such as name, email address, or user ID associated with a Meta or Facebook account used to authenticate with Meta's APIs)
- Authentication tokens required to make API requests on the user's behalf
- Basic usage information such as timestamps of API requests, queries performed, and error logs used to diagnose issues
We do not collect passwords, payment information, or sensitive personal information from authorized users.
Information From Meta Platforms
When operating the App, we access data returned by Meta's APIs, which primarily includes:
- Publicly available ad creative and ad performance information from the Meta Ad Library
- Advertiser names, page identifiers, and public page information
- Ad copy, ad imagery, ad video assets, and publicly disclosed targeting or delivery information
- Metadata about ads, such as dates active, platforms served, and country of delivery
The Meta Ad Library is a public resource maintained by Meta. Information retrieved from it is publicly accessible information about advertisers and their ads.
Information We Do Not Collect
The App is not designed to collect:
- Personal information about individual consumers or end users of Meta products
- Private messages, non-public posts, or private account information
- Biometric data, precise location data, or financial account information
How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Authenticate authorized users and maintain secure access to the App
- Retrieve and organize advertising research data for Bar 9 AI and its clients
- Generate internal research reports, competitive analyses, and creative references
- Monitor the App for errors, abuse, or security issues
- Maintain and improve the App's functionality and reliability
We do not use authorized user information or Meta-sourced data for advertising targeting, resale to third parties, or any purpose unrelated to the delivery of research services to Bar 9 AI's clients.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- With Bar 9 AI clients: Research outputs generated by the App are shared with the client for whom the research was performed. These outputs may include public ad examples, competitive summaries, and creative references drawn from the Meta Ad Library.
- With service providers: We use third-party infrastructure and software providers to operate the App, including cloud hosting, database services, workflow automation platforms, and AI model providers. These providers process information on our behalf under contractual obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy.
- For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bar 9 AI, our clients, or others.
- In connection with a business transaction: If Bar 9 AI is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Compliance With Meta Platform Terms
The App operates in accordance with Meta's Platform Terms, Developer Policies, and applicable API terms of use. We only access data through approved endpoints, we store only what is necessary to operate the App, and we do not use Meta-sourced data in ways prohibited by Meta's policies.
If Meta notifies us that specific data must be deleted, or that our use of the data is out of compliance, we will promptly act on that notification.
Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:
- Authentication tokens are retained only while active and are deleted or rotated when no longer required
- Research outputs are retained according to client engagement terms and Bar 9 AI's internal records retention policies
- Log and diagnostic data is retained for a limited period to support security and operational monitoring, then deleted on a routine schedule
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These safeguards include encrypted data transmission, access controls, and monitoring of our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws, including the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Request deletion of personal information
- Object to or restrict certain processing of personal information
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Data Deletion Requests
If you are a Meta user and you would like to request deletion of any data associated with your account that may have been retrieved by the App, please email admin@bar9.ai with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.” Include enough information for us to identify any relevant records. We will confirm receipt of your request and complete the deletion within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information.
International Users
The App is operated from the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, information collected in connection with your use of the App may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States or other countries, which may have data protection laws different from those in your country.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice, such as by posting a prominent notice on the App or our website. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
